The Full Story.
It all began with our family & our love for horses.
We fell in love with a beautiful piece of property South of Cochrane where we built our facility & our equestrian business from the ground up out of a pure passion for horses. Over the last 15 years, we have provided a haven for horses & the people who love them. We have built our business into a successful breeding, training, & event facility.
We felt it in our own family first—a growing desire to know where our food came from, to seek out quality local products, & to reconnect with the people who produce them.
Inspired by places we loved, including The Saskatoon Farm, & after more than three years of research & exploration, we began slowly transforming a portion of our barn into a space for something new.
In July 2026, we launched Prairie Nights—three special market gatherings that brought together remarkable local businesses, families, & our surrounding communities.
What we discovered was both simple and meaningful: people were looking for many of the same things we were. Good local food, genuine connection, & opportunities to slow down & enjoy the simple things.
& so, what began as a shared longing became the foundation for The Stable & Market.

As we move forward, we are offering the unique opportunity to share our haven by seeking out equally passionate people who wish to work with us as a team to give back to the community & our future generations. We are currently seeking like minded professionals with the same vision to join our growing community to continue to take Diamond Willow Farms to the next level; a hub for quality sales horses, a space for events/markets, & to provide fresh + locally grown food to our community.
We are family run business & are proud to be a part of the growth of Cochrane.

Our Vision.
-
We value the people behind small businesses.
A business shouldn't require its owner to work endlessly just to remain viable.
-
A community of complementary businesses that strengthen one another, rather than a collection of vendors competing for the same customers.
-
Creating an environment where quality, compatibility, and long-term viability matter.
-
We want businesses retain their identities and independence while benefiting from shared infrastructure, marketing, customers, and potentially staffing.
-
Increasing revenue, visibility, or reach does not also mean increasing hours, overhead, and personal exhaustion.
-
If farmers spend all their time selling, when do they farm? If artisans spend every weekend travelling to markets, when do they create?
The Stable & Market is an attempt to give those people more room to do what they do best.
